Original designs
Every design is drawn by Alexandra, on paper, before it makes its way onto porcelain, wood or fabric.
About us
Lullula is a family business from Sibiu. We’re two sisters, Alexandra and Cristina. We draw, hand-paint and lovingly wrap everyday objects, turning them into little works of art you get to use every day.
Lullula started out in the kitchen, as a recipe blog. The kitchen is still one of our favorite stories.
On March 1, 2016, the very first Lullula drawing was born. That same year we also started the business, in Sibiu, as a family affair.
All the designs are created by Alexandra Cheșcu. Since 2020, Lullula has been a registered trademark with OSIM, the Romanian trademark office.
We opened our first brick-and-mortar shop at 27 Mitropoliei Street, in Sibiu.
Orders kept growing, so we moved the business into the company Lullula SRL.
We paint, kiln-fire and pack everything in our workshop and shop in the center of Sibiu. Our pieces make their way to bookstores all over the country and, for years now, to many countries across Europe.
Why Lullula?
The bird that sings in flight, early in the morning, while everyone else is still asleep. Our name comes from it, and the lark sits with us, next to the first L in our logo.
Every design is drawn by Alexandra, on paper, before it makes its way onto porcelain, wood or fabric.
We paint with non-toxic ceramic paints, heat-set for durability. On textiles, we print straight onto the fabric.
Everything that leaves our workshop comes in colorful boxes and packaging, ready to give, at no extra cost.
We want a beautiful handmade object to be a gift within reach, not a luxury.
Mugs and porcelain: wash them by hand, in lukewarm water, without an abrasive sponge. Don’t put them in the microwave.
Tote bags and T-shirts: wash them inside out, at the temperature on the label.
