Description
Between Christmas and New Year, in the villages of Moldavia and Bucovina in north-eastern Romania, the masks come out: furry, colourful, with horns and noses as big as peppers. They dance, make a lot of noise and chase away everything bad from the old year, so the new one can arrive clean.
Ours moved onto a mug and calmed down a little. Now it only chases away morning tiredness and colleagues who want to steal your coffee. With those big eyes and that toothy grin, we think it does a great job.
Hand-painted by Alexandra and Cristina in our workshop in Sibiu. Every mug is one of a kind, so yours may differ slightly from the one in the photo.

Care
The design is made with non-toxic ceramic paint and fixed with heat, so it holds up to washing. The mugs can go in the dishwasher at 30 °C or on the ECO programme. To keep the designs lovely for years, we recommend washing the mug by hand, in lukewarm water and without an abrasive sponge. We don’t recommend using the mug in the microwave.

Shipping is free for orders within Romania over 200 lei. You can pick up your order free of charge from our workshop in Sibiu, Str. Faurului nr. 10. Every item comes in a gift box or its own packaging, ready to give.
